62 pound shovel out of my grandmas 1/2 acre pond week later i found it in the shallow end appearing to be stuck in the weeds... i was wrong it was dead . i think the fight really hurt it and it eventually died. that was my biggest cat ever. my dad put that fish in the pond when it weighed 45 pound in 1993( i kno it is the same fish because its the only shovel ever put in the pond) he put it in to eat the bluegills and warmouths. and since its gone the numbers of gills and warmouths has skyrocketed. u could see the fish in the early evening swimming the shallow end of the pond chasing bluegills. funny thing is i caught it on a small crappie i caught a few minutes before.

mine is a 64lb. flatty at what use to be C.P. caught it about 7 yrs ago maybe a yr. or 2 before not sure, got pictures of alot of fish we caught from over there, just got to find them in storage. 3 of use filled 2 and 1/2 full size video tapes full of fish we caught our 1st rip over there, hook sets and pictures of the fish, damn that was a long 24 hrs. at one point we could only use 1 pole. for about 3 hrs... you talken about raw and messed up hand and fingers and nuckles. got look the tapes up and take some pictures from the videos of our hands, the were bleeding so bad when we was leave that my friends had to stop at hospital on the way back they was infected from the fish slime they said, LOL.

my hands are still raw from last sunday and this week they was bleedin like crazy its like a million papaer cuts and every knuckle is split wide open but i love it means i busted there azz rolling laugh

yeah it was a blast back then, never went over there and not caught atleast 40 -50 or more fish in a 24 yr. ticket. spent 4 days over there one time and on my, we used 9 despos. camera's had to run up into town to get them, we went with 3 and bought 3 more and went back and bought all they had left, ( 2) got everyone of them on yellow bellies ( about 4-6 inchs long) and green ears, damn those was the days. LOL

yeah, back when i could get out more, before i got married and have to go to work everyday, cant call off like i use to, LOL ive got the fever going on wont be in today, LOL that was my fave. line, then the boss knew what was up. LOL..
