Benefit Tournament April 11th at Castaway Lakes

Please mark your Calendars. Still working on all of the details and looking for a few sponsors. I will be running this tournament on April 11th at Castaway. We will be having 50/50's and other raffles. It will not be a big money tournament as part of the entry fee will be going to the Family.

As you seen in another post on the Forums, Larry and the Castaway family has lost close family member and I have been given permission by Larry to organize this to help the family and Nate (Heather's husband)

If by any chance you would like to particpate in this tournament. Please respond here. I am hoping we can get alot of support for a great lake owner and his family after this tragic accident.

Any Ideas or leads to sponsors is greatly appreciated.

Here is the Plan. We are going to charge $20.00 for the tournament (10 to prize fund and 10 to the family) Larry is not charging anything for the tickets. We will have raffles for items as well as split the pots. We are starting to get some donations in. Jewell Outdoors has donated 3 lbs of Water Leeches. They are not ready yet so they will be in gift certificates that you can use in their online store as soon as the Leeches are available at the end of April. I think I will be getting Some gift Certifcates for some of the local restaraunts as well as a convenience store or 2.

I am trying to set up something with Dominos so we can get 20-30 pizzas and then sell the pizza by the slice with all proceeds going to the family. Every little bit will help the Family our greatly.

I have had several pm's and there is interest from alot of local guys and gals. So if you are planning on making it let me know as soon as possible.

Additional donation will be accepted and be given directly to the family.

Hello Vince,
I will do my best to be there. Dad just heard about Heather and it really hit him hard. He has been battling a foot problem due to diabeties and is going to have to have part of it removed, I told him about the tourny and he said he may come up with me but doubts he could fish it.

Vince I can't make it as I have a planned trip to the Maummee river for walleye fishing that weekend. Prayers to Larry and family members.

Count me in Vince! Maybe my Dad too.

Than you to all. I also spread the Word out at the Bowling alley last night. I am going to have several of the regualrs that fish the lake out as well. I have so far gotten around 4 sponsors so we are going to be doing some raffles. We will have the prices and times and all sorted out this weekend. We are having a meeting after the visitation over a bite to eat. I will post as soon as I got the info.

Ok we are going to go ahead and do the times as 9-5pm on April 11th. Please let me know if you think you can attend. I have gotten word from Locals of about 15-20 that are supposed to come out. We have also gotten some Sponsorship from Heidleberg Distributiors and they are making us a banner and supplying some hats and shirts i think for the raffles. We have Jewll Outdoors commited and I may be getting a few more things from local businesses.
